 Catarte: wine pairing with food and art 
     Marinated wine tastings of Rioja every friday of the year at 8 pm in the Espacio Lagares (century-old stone lakes where wine was made more than a hundred years ago). Ruavieja 18 street, 5 minutes walk from the apartment. Organized by the City of Logroño. Price, 8 euros. Limited capacity.      Music, theater and other cultural expressions marinated with Rioja wine. It seeks the mixture of all the senses that make us enjoy life, aroma, palate, sight, hearing and touch.

     Walk by streets and squares of the old town. It concludes with tasting a wine and tasting a tapa. Brief talk about the current wineries in the city of Logroño.
     The guides are characters from the seventeenth century who tell stories with rigorous historical and truthful stories about the roads and the transport of wine.

     They include in its itinerary the Revellín, building of Tabacalera, Church of Santiago, Church of San Bartolomé, Palace of the Chapiteles, Concatedral of Santa Maria of the Redonda, Square of Abastos and the streets Portales, San Juan and Laurel.

 In August, the museum sound 

      Museo Würth La Rioja. 'The museum sound' reaches its seventh edition. Every wednesday night in August (days 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30). From 20 to 01 hours. Musical performances (DJ music) in the museum gardens, drinks and food (snack or dinner), and visits to the exhibitions of the moment and the permanent collection.

    Free access until full capacity. No access will be allowed with food and drink.
    Transport by own vehicle (industrial park of El Sequero, 17 kilometers from Logroño) or through the service of Yanguas Buses (2 euros per person) from the stop of the City of Logroño at 20, 20.30 and 21 hours with return at 0.30. (Reserve your place until 14 hours on the same day of the event by filling out a form).

 Cinema nights at Bodegas Franco Españolas 
     A pleasant experience for the evenings of July are the veranos de cine in Bodegas Franco Españolas, to three minutes of your lodging. The films are projected in the original version.

    The appointments start at 7.30 pm, with live music in a quiet and familiar atmosphere in the patios and gardens of the cellar. And towards 21.45 (with the fall of the sun) begins the cinematographic projection outdoors, in the courtyard of the centenary winery. The ticket for the film costs 5 euros (advance reservation please), but I recommend the offer for couples: two tickets to the cinema and a bottle of red aging, you can consume in the enclosure during the evening or previously, all for 15 euros.

 Museums and exhibitions 
     I suggest some interesting exhibitions to visit during your stay in Logroño.

     Exhibition hall Amos Salvador. Current exhibition: 'Painting of the eighties in Spain': http://www.culturalrioja.org/sala-amos-salvador/2017/pintura-de-los-80-en-espana. Open Monday to Friday from 10 to 14 hours, and from 18 to 22. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, from 10 to 22. Until August 27. The room is located in the busy confluence of the streets Portales and Once de June, next to the Murrieta fountain and 12 minutes walk from your apartment. This space of 500 square meters was the warehouse of the large tobacco factory of Tabacalera and six centuries ago was part of the old convent of La Merced.

     Exhibition hall of Ibercaja in Calle San Antón 3. First edition of the complete series of  'Los Desastres de la Guerra, de Goya'. 'Disasters of War, Goya'. 80 engravings of Francisco de Goya y Lucientes (Fuendetodos, Zaragoza, 1746-Bordeaux, 1828), which the painter made in full contest between the years 1810-1814 and which constitute almost a graphic chronicle of the tragic event. 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm. (The exhibition closes on July 25).
     Museum of La Rioja. It is installed in a palace built in the middle of the XVIII century in which today it is square of San Agustín, in the historical center of Logroño. Open from 10 to 14 hours and from 16 to 21 (Sundays and holidays closes in the afternoon). The building is known as the Palace of Espartero, because in it lived General Baldomero Espartero after his definitive withdrawal from politics in 1856. Its permanent collection, divided into three floors, is ordered in prehistory, pre-roman, roman, Middle Ages, Age Modern, the changes of the nineteenth century and until today.      City hall of Logroño. Permanent exhibition of the Altadis Premios de Arte Contemporáneo collection. Open from 6 pm to 9 pm and public holidays from 12 to 14 and from 18 to 21. The visit to the municipal hall is a good excuse to get to know the emblematic building designed by the architect Rafael Moneo in the 70's of the last century. The exhibition gathers 29 works of spanish and french artists (sculpture, painting, photography or video) awarded between 2000 and 2007.

 Plans for children 
     Alimentarte. San Blas Market. Plaza de Abastos. 5 minutes from our apartment. Program of children's culinary activities (from 4 to 12 years) that seeks to awaken in children the pleasure of eating and cooking, through the senses.
     Every Saturday of the year, from 11 to 13.30. 25 seats per session. Tickets: 6 € / child. Tickets can be purchased through logrono.sacatuentrada.es, Tourism Office (Portales 50) or in person in the workshops provided there are free places for that session. You will learn to see food from a different angle, appreciating, touching, cooking and testing. You will learn how to make traditional recipes from La Rioja, as well as the functioning of the Plaza de Abastos de Logroño, in a fun and educational way.
